He is BIG, He is not-so mean, He is a 7ft LEGO(r) machine.
Re: Disney(r) display. Check this thing out.
Nothing like a 1000lb fiber lighted, spinning globe to make your Museum
experiance complete. This is from Epcot(r) direct. This thing is off the
hook.
Re: 110,000 bricks. This is the Mosiac of San Fran. Made by Eric Harshbarger.
This thing is huge. Heavy too. My poor back. But it was worth it. Check
out the detail, 100.000 LEGO bricks.
Dan
The band now plays in the museum
Check this out. They are 5ft tall, and animated by VP Productions out of
CT. They are among the robotic displays now living at the museum.
Meet the new greeter for the museum....his name is Gurgi
Hi, this little robot moves, talks, and works for nothing (except a big
ELECTRIC BILL)....We named him Gurgi, and he is our newest robot.
LIVE from the 2001 Toy Fair, this guy is now in the MUSEUM
I got this guy with the MISSION from Mars display, but it would seem he is a
bit more famous then I thought. Here he is at the 2001 TOY FAIR.
BIG HEAD. He is going to be 10ft tall when complete.
This is one of many. This is the head of the BIG 8ft MAXI FIGs in the basement
set when we are done. Keep an eye out for the updates.
Scale Cars in the museum
We have a BUNCH of scale cars, this is about 1/2 of them. I am donating my
personal collection to the museum. Not much vintage, but I have a bunch
that are no longer in print.
FIRST Pics of the restored SCALE Paddle Boat
We have been working on this one for the better part of a year. It is a
moving replica of a PADDLE Boat, one of the best NON-LEGO(r) toys we have to
date.
Our first DIORAMA is in the works.
We took the shoe (show below), mixed it with some art work, and added in a
classic car set (love that car by the way). Added some VINTAGE LEGO(r)
kids, and we were off. Working on the back mount for the pics, but besides
that this is close to the finished product. Our 2nd diorama is off the
hook. We have a HUGE LEGO(r) HEAD, mix that with 100+ worker mini FIGS, 2
cranes, about 200.00 worth of scaffolding (LEGO(r)scaffolding) and you have
our NEW Building of the Pyramid scene. We will have pics of it along the
building stages.
Drivers Ed is Coming to the school.
We decided that the purchase of a vintage BUG from the ailing Gadzooks would
make a great addition to the museum. I now have a front and back half of
one of the bugs, and We will be putting LEGO(r) kids in the car for a
quickie DRIVERS ED course.

Liberty JEDI is now home in the Toy Museum.
We won her from the Charity Auction. This master built item is one of the
greatest Star Wars (r) Displays we have. Built by a master builder. Soon
she will be joined by a LIFE Size R2 unit, and a diorama of the inside of a
deathstar. Keep an eye out for future posts on these.
We got our Permit. Here is our sign layout!!!
The sign will read;
"Toy and Brick", with the cast words MUSEUM
"and LEGO (r) Store"
These letters are from another MUSEUM in Cape Fear. They took these down,
and they are now at the MUSEUM in Bellaire awaiting the rest of the letters
for the SIGN.
3d and 2d Floorplan for the Pending LEGO (r) Store in the Museum.
We have 12 rooms of displays, a LEGO store and Gift Shop. As well as we are
working on the gym for a UNREAL setup with basketball players (shown on the
building the museum sight) and a bunch of kids playing ball with them. We
are also going to move the SUB shop (was being put in Bridgeport), but after
a bunch of arguements with the local sewer people we found spending 20k on
sewer hookup for the sub shop was not going to be worth it. Batting cages
and Mini golf is still in the works, but the SUB shop will be at the museum.
