Bellaire, OH – Locally owned company The Unofficial LEGO Museum announced today that Thomas the Train will be arriving next week from The United Kingdom. This model is one of a very limited number of large-scale Thomas the Train models to exist in the world. A dedication ceremony will be held in December 2014 for this new model.

Museum officials expect this model to improve Bellaire, Ohio tourism and widen its customer base. In addition to Thomas, the Train the museum hosts a large amount of LEGO creations, models and robotic creations.

About The Unofficial LEGO® Museum in Bellaire, Ohio, The Toy and Plastic Brick Museum opened its doors in Aug 2007. A build event created the 2007 World record for “The World’s Largest LEGO® Mosaic”. Numerous books, online and offline articles as well as shows and events have been done around the central theme of the LEGO based attraction. Since the inception of the museum many new art pieces, images as well as buildings have been created in the museum. Thousands of kid’s works adorn the museum shelves and the professional built models are a joy for all ages.

The Unofficial LEGO® Museum hopes to rebuild the local economy while thrilling kids of all ages from 1year old to 95years young!

During the past few months we have been getting advice from people on any problems we have been facing in the tourism market!

One of the main problems we faced was the name change game. Due to legal reasons that has been all over the place! We are now 100% secure, and approved for;

Toy and Plastic Brick Museum

In 2009 we will have a fluid campaign to advertise this.Our business model includes you, the MOC builder;We plan to have the following happen in 2009;

Continue to build the PBM Collection
Continue to feature LEGO builders in the museum
Continue to grow

New to 2010;

We are planning to open the new Dex lab
We are planning to open the new Lion's Den
We are planning to open the new Canadian room!
We are continuing to improve the museum and add to the "Toy and" portion weekly as well.

New to 2009;

We are planning a mass build of sets.
We are hoping to have one of each of the sets from 1970-date in house by 2010.
This means sorting, planning, building,and a bunch of effort from the community and staff to make this happen.
We are going to be working on the building during the winter and getting it more"green friendly". A 100yr old school is not very heat/cooling friendly!!!
We plan to complete the "Water Room" as well as the "Creators Lab".
These will be 2 new theme rooms coming to the museum as well.

We are now looking for a grant writer!!!
