And a word from our founder!!!

Welcome to my dream. The ONLY LEGO based museum in the world. We are

http://www.brickstore.net
http://www.brickmuseum.net and soon http://www.plasticbrickmuseum.net/ / .com

During the past few months we have been getting advice from people on any problems we have been facing in the tourism market!

One of the main problems we faced was the name change game. Due to legal reasons that has been all over the place! We are now 100% secure, and approved for;

Toy and Plastic Brick Museum

In 2009 we will have a fluid campaign to advertise this.Our business model includes you, the MOC builder;We plan to have the following happen in 2009;

Continue to build the PBM Collection
Continue to feature LEGO builders in the museum
Continue to grow

New to 2009;

We are planning a mass build of sets.
We are hoping to have one of each of the sets from 1970-date in house by 2010.
This means sorting, planning, building,and a bunch of effort from the community and staff to make this happen.
We are going to be working on the building during the winter and getting it more"green friendly". A 100yr old school is not very heat/cooling friendly!!!
We plan to complete the "Water Room" as well as the "Creators Lab".
These will be 2 new theme rooms coming to the museum as well.

We are now looking for a grant writer!!!
So if that is you please contact us.
We are now looking for a IPO business planner for future offerings for the for profit side of the business.
Again if that is you please contact us

Our contact information is;

Toy and Plastic Brick Museum

And again thanks to all the AFOLs that have made 2007 and 2008 great years for the ONLY LEGO based museum in the world!

2009 for the Adult Fan

For 2009;

Hello all. I have been staying away from the BL forum due to negative people.

I would like to announce a few changes for the Plastic Brick Museum in the coming weeks;

1.) We are looking for people online to design a professional builder design set for us.

2.) Beginning in 2009 we will be sponsoring our own professional builder program.

What this includes;

Paid gigs, sponsored builds, and a "Shows and Events" portion of the museum which will have you going to shows, showing what you can do and of course traveling with life size models!
If you dream is to be a professional builder of LEGO by trade, this will be a 1st good step for you.
We have almost unlimited brick supplies and soon we will be having nationwide show schedules for promotion of the museum/building program.

3.) AFOL programs that will enhance your building life. With this announcement I would like to provide an insight to the museum in Bellaire OHIO.

In the past two weeks a HUGE negative was lifted from the museum. The "Toy and Plastic Brick Museum" is our final approved name change. We will be free to do/build what we want without problems (less copyright restrictions of course), and we will/are the only one in existence. There can be NO OTHERS LEGALLY.

We will begin in 2009 our "Guest Builder" program. This program is simple. Your club sponsors you to come to Ohio (in spirit), we will pay your expenses while here, and you just build! All you will need to qualify is a portfolio of your work/list of your theme. The rest is up to you.

In 2009 we will also begin a program designed for the clubs. This is a club sponsor build. We provide the product for you to build with, you keep the product for a time to show off your work at a show/event, then the work comes back to the museum for permanent showing along with the stories/information gathered along the way.

I call it "traveling pants" program. I want the stories to go along with the product. I want the museum to be so interesting people do not want to leave.
Other programs will be announced over the coming months both here and on lugnet. We will also be adding a "programs" link to the website for up and coming AFOL programs.

Special thanks section.

I cannot say it enough. So I am adding it to the website.

I would like to add special thanks to the following. I may have missed some people, so send me an E-Mail if you think you need to be on this list. The people and groups involved in the creation of the museum have made it a place I am proud of. I am hoping you will too when you come here.

Carol Brown
COLTC especially Carol from Coltc. She put in the extra effort when needed and was a VERY welcome builder when needed.
Big Larry. Without you the place would be cruddy!
My tour guides. What a great group of people! A wonderful addition to the museum
PENNLUG...you guys ROCK!!
Eric Harshbarger...you started it all. With your crayons in the Strong Museum as well as allowing me to get your collection. People are AMAZED at your work...keep it up!
The Village of Bellaire. Local support was paramount to the sucess of the museum. THANKS!
The AFOLs. (adult fans of LEGO). Your continued support makes the museum a fun place.
Bill from The LEGO(r) group. Thanks for believing in me when no-one else would. This is not only my legacy but yours as well. With the last of the hand built models in our facility you helped make it happen!
The LEGO(r) group. Amazing people doing amazing "stuff" on a daily basis.
LEGOLAND(r) CA. When we were down, they came to help. Thanks guys. The addition to the museum was AWSOME.

I would like to add a generic but important note;

I would like to extent thanks to all the people who drove here, donated time and material to the museum, and made me feel good when things seemed overwhelming. It was a huge undertaking to complete the project. Without all of you I would not have kept going in the face of defeat.

A heart felt thanks.

Dan Brown manager Bellaire Historic Society and Toy and Plastic Brick Museum.
