More to come over the next 2-3 days....Keep watching for them. Over 500 people through the door so far, and MANY more coming.

Thanks Mr. Potts.

Letters to the Editor

"Museum Is Marvelous"

August 12, 2007 Editor, News-Register:

"I went to the newly opened Toy Museum in Bellaire. I was amazed at the quality of the three-floor museum. I have to confess, I’ve never played with a Lego “brick” in my life, but must have exclaimed 50 times, “Oh my!” as I viewed these phenomenal creations.
I was able to speak with and thank the owner Dan Brown for bringing this “Treasure Chest” to Bellaire. I was so excited I went running through the streets of Bellaire hanging posters and telling everyone I could — I wasted no time! What an amazing blessing for our economy. One visiting family (tourists) told me they found it on the Internet. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 7 p.m."

So thankful!

The Wizards Chess.

Here is the life long battle. Wizards vs. the Dragons!!! In a battle of witts, skill, and nerve. From Germany as well as Georgia USA (Thanks to the Georgia club who preserved and got the Wizard) here is Wizard's Chess.

Dan's Storming the Keep.

I may have put this up already...But I have to be proud of my work.

I call this Storming the Keep...it is the attraction in the Knight's room...enjoy...

It features 1000+ Black Knight's, 2 really ticked off Wizards, 1 alien hiding in the display, the HEAD GUY being pulled in by 2 Hippos (I had the hippos...I needed to use them!) as well as a Horde of other funny and original characters!

Mine did not wash in from the sea!!!

These guys now watch the band. They will be a big picture attraction for the museum. Everyone loves a 8ft tall LEGO(r) man!!! Their long lost brother washed up from the sea. With any luck he will be added to the museum. I think the other guys will be envious of the publicity their brother got (article below)....but the ones here in Ohio at least do not have sand in their butts!

Dan climbing the walls...Now this guy is.

Well as all you who know me. I was climbing the walls to get the place done. So now that we are open this big guy took my job...I was glad to give it to him!!!

Cow in the zoo.

aok..WE ARE OPEN....here are some pics from right before we opened (before the 14 day marathon of building, cleaning, and work on our BATHROOMS....what a nightmare!)

This is from the top of the Moo-A-Cell. She now has a nice pen in the zoo to graze!

Is this a sign the museum will do well??

Giant Lego man washed up on Dutch beach
Posted Wed Aug 8, 2007 6:03am AEST

Washed up: Children play around the giant Lego man (Reuters: Paul Vreeker)
A giant, smiling Lego man has been fished out of the sea in the Dutch resort of Zandvoort.
Workers at a drinks stall rescued the 2.5-metre tall model, which had a yellow head and blue torso.
"We saw something bobbing about in the sea and we decided to take it out of the water," said a stall worker. "It was a life-sized Lego toy."
A woman nearby added: "I saw the Lego toy floating towards the beach from the direction of England."
The toy was later placed in front of the drinks stall.

Arrrg, I am in the water room

For anyone who needs a 4ft pirate around. Here he is.

He is now in a canoe in the water room.....all I can say (again) is ARGGG.

Our new add on front door.

Here is the picture of our new front door. We built in a display into the door.

Behind it is a Bionacle (r) climbing a ladder as well as our reception desk.

Being atacked by a 8ft Mini Fig.

Yup, it finally happened. I snapped. I was attacked by a 8ft BIG Fig. I thought it was only a nightmare dream...but no. I was really beaten by him.

Carpet in the gym.

Here is the crew installing the new carpet in the gym along the walkway up to the 1st floor.

We built a handicap ramp from the top of the bleachers to the 1st floor landing to make it easier for people to get in the building...also to see the band!
